Ah oui! Le fromage francaise. If you didn’t get that, it was praise for French cheese. Yesterday Jeanne and I celebrated a final meal of the things we’ll miss most over the next two months. We sat at my kitchen table and savored every bite of our chosen dishes. I treated myself to two gourmet chesses accompanied by strawberries and fig preserve. I almost finished both of them but managed to leave Jeanne a portion of each as a ‘plate warming’ pressie at the start of her high fat diet. Jeanne sat opposite me and tucked into a cabonara pasta – which smelled heavenly. We’ll probably do a similar thing as we end our diets – already thinking about what I’ll eat!
